The Reiker Energy Freedom Remote Control automatically controls your energy usage. The unit immediately powers up four heating elements to quickly heat a room to a desired temperature. As the room warms the unit automatically begins reducing its need for electrical power (as explained above) until it functions on the lowest power setting needed to maintain your desired room temperature. Tests have shown that a room temperature can be maintained on less than 500 watts of power, the equivalent of five light bulbs.
